ok i will look in random threads. also sean delete all topics that havnt been replied to in 30 days that will stop you getting lagg.

you aren't really going to lag if there are more posts, just make sure the number of posts on each page is like 20 or something

Probably anything bigger than 50 MIGHT start to lag a little bit, but not much.

Because you only lag when either you or the server is doing a lot of things (or if your internet sucks cartmans balls), so to be honest, deleting old topics does nothing exept cleans up the forum and deletes old news.

Think about it, you have more advertising on your site if you have more posts, because when people search for problems or something relating to a post, they will get a link to your forum.

So, deleting old topics isn't always the best idea. Maybe find a way to archive them so the server only needs to load them if someone is looking for old posts.. Like an old posts achive/section.
